Collaborate

Collaborate is an online forum for international emerging artists to connect with one another as they navigate their careers. Artists use Collaborate as a valuable tool to further their creative practices by sharing ideas, posting questions, and requesting feedback.

HOW: Artists can participate in Collaborate, which is completely free of cost or obligation, simply by contacting Blaise + Co. for a log-on name.

WHO: Each month, Collaborate is hosted by a different art world influencer who facilitates the dialogue by posing discussion topics and holding live chat sessions. Past Guest Hosts have included internationally renowned artists, curators, and critics.

Mezze
Los Angeles, CA

Real Restaurant Group announces the launch of Mezze, a contemporary take on classic Eastern Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine located at 401 N. La Cienega Blvd. in West Hollywood. Mezze is helmed by Chef Micah Wexler (Craft, L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon, Restaurante Marin Berasategui) along with General Manager, Michael Kassar (formerly of Spago Beverly Hills), and Managing Partners, Matt Bendik and David Koral.

Acclaimed designer, Waldo Fernandez, lead the design and renovation of the coveted West Hollywood space. Finished with wood from Lebanon and handcrafted tiles from Morocco, the venue embodies the soul and spirit of the Eastern Mediterranean and Middle East while still appealing to a stylish and sophisticated Los Angeles clientele. The venue is both intimate and refined utilizing amber Venetian plaster walls, skylights drawing in more natural light, an open kitchen exposing a wood-burning oven, and floor to ceiling nano walls opening out to patio seating.

Mezze’s concept was developed as a contemporary play on the traditional Mezze style
of dining consisting of small plates. Mezze, Arabic for “sharing,” continues this traditional style dining offering patrons an innovative take on Eastern Mediterranean and Middle Eastern flavors by using local produce and ingredients and employing both new and traditional techniques.

The wine list includes offerings from California and Middle Eastern Vineyards.

London & Athens-based Divercity Architects with New York architect Katerina Kourkoula, have carefully adapted the period features of the 100-year-old Vanderbilt Grace property to create a fresh, modern aesthetic, including custom-made touches that echo Divercity’s concept in the award-winning Grace Mykonos and Grace Santorini hotels in the Greek Islands. Muse’s crisp white linens and pale blue walls bring an inviting feel to the space, with two specially commissioned chandeliers and American illustrative art by Rico Tomoso and Thomas Webb rounding out the luxe atmosphere.
